Life after NaNoWriMo

Posted December 5th, 2006 at 11:33 in NaNoWriMo 2006, Writing by Jarsto

I’m almost fully into life after NaNoWriMo now. The last episode of the Dutch NaNo Podcast is due to go out around midnight tonight. After that I haven’t got anything specifically about NaNo left to do.

The good news is that for the time being at least the Holland & Belgium regional lounge seems to be staying somewhat active. So with some luck I’ll be able to stay in touch with all the people there throughout the coming year. There’s even talk of setting up some writing groups to meet in person once a month. One of them should be close enough to hear for me to make it. But of course the question is if we can get enough people from the right area. We’re pretty thin on the ground here in the northern part of the Netherlands.

I haven’t done a lot of post NaNo writing. Partly because I do need a short break after ploughing through 120k in 30 days, and partly because I haven’t been feeling well the last two days. My temperature seems to be somewhat above normal most of the time, which is not the way I like it (to say the least). In fact as a result of this I haven’t done much of anything for the last two days. Hopefully things will get a little better soon.
